WHAT IS MALUERINDI?
Maluerindi, meaning "running waters", is a Indigenous family clan situated in Dunghutti country (Mid North Coast of NSW). Maluerindi has performed in schools for several years and was established with a desire to change the way Indigenous education is delivered in Australia.
We aspire to "bridge the gap" between non-Indigenous and Indigenous people through fun, engaging workshops and performances that educate the important aspects of traditional life. We believe we can achieve reconciliation to help shape a better future for all Australians.

"I am a proud young Aboriginal man from Dunghutti and Gamilaroi country. I am extremely passionate about my culture and identity. My aim is to educate Indigenous and non-Indigenous students and teachers about traditional life of my people in a fun, positive way as I believe this is the best way for all Australians to gain a greater understanding of Aboriginal people." - Chaydin Reid

FRED REID
Fred, father of Chaydin and Todd, is the driving force behind Maluerindi. Fred has performed nationally and internationally for over 20 years and has passed on his knowledge to his sons to continue his aim of “bridging the gap” between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. Being a victim of the stolen generation, Fred believes telling his story within the education systems will enable a better understanding of the past injustices of his people. His ability to build positive relationships with students and teachers through his performances and workshops guarantees a rich and exciting experience for all involved.
